Introduction

This document is intended as an initial brief to outline the operational philosophy, physical space and accommodation standards for a Scandic Hotel.

The intent is that this document be used to develop the initial sketch scheme design proposals for review and "in principle" approval by Scandic. Following the "in principle" Agreement being signed and the principle scheme design being approved by Scandic, detailed Standards for design development and guidance will be issued.

Proposals to be prepared by the design team should give due regard to the intent to apply the design, initially in the wider EU areas and subsequently on a wider global basis. Design team members are reminded of the confidentiality of this document and any material prepared by them on behalf of Scandic. All designs, documents and material provided will be assigned to Scandic for its exclusive use and ownership. All reference and contact in respect of the above will be referred to Scandic.
