7.7 Furniture and furnishings

Minimum provision of furniture in guestrooms is as follows (see also Scandic In Room Standard):

7.7.1
Single Room:

· One (1) bed with headboard
· One (1) 1 bed light
· One (1) bedside table
· One (1) full length mirror
· One (1) luggage rack (fixed or folding)
· One (1) enclosed wardrobe or clothes hanging unit (open)
· One (1) desk, desk lamp, desk chair
· One (1) lounge/easy chair or sofa with one (1) light
fitting
· One (1) Activity/coffee table recommended
· One (1) TV incorporating clock and radio service
· One (1) connectivity panel with usb, hdmi and s-video connections for mp3-players etc
· One (1) Artwork piece and/or accessories

Twin Rooms
(Room with two beds)

· Two (2) beds with headboards
· one (1) bedside table with

Double room
(Room with double or larger bed)

· Two (2) bedside tables each side with a light fitting
· Two (2) bed light fitting

· One (1) enclosed wardrobe or clothes hanging unit (open)
· One (1) desk, desk lamp and desk chair
· One (1) sofabed or one (1) lounge/easy chair (lounge chair/foot stool recommended) with one (1) light fitting

7.7.4
Beds

- Beds to be commercial hotel quality with firm or extra firm specification.
- Bed construction to consist of box spring and mattress, or slatted base and mattress.
- Cover fabric to be flame retardant to national / local codes (inc. 'Euro 15')
- Mattress to have turning labels and reinforcing edge support.

7.7.5
Minimum provision of bedding is as follows:

- One (1) mattress pad (cotton or breathing synthetic pad completely covering mattress. Non-breathing synthetic mattress protectors are not permitted.

Two (2) pillows per bed.

- Each pillow must have a pillow case
- One (1) throw.
- One (1) duvet with one (1) sheet and one (1) duvet cover.
- One (1) valance per bed.
Note: for duvets, a regional size variation is allowed.

7.7.7
Waste Paper baskets - one suitable for the bathroom and one for the bedroom.

7.7.6
Wooden coat hangers (minimum for two pairs of trousers and 2 skirts are to be provided.

7.7.8
A garment bag hook to be installed at 1800mm.

7.7.9
A luggage rack either furniture or folding must be provided.
